Anthony Andrea Jones "AJ" was born on January 6, 1951 in Borger, Texas to Ikie Lee Jones and Mattle Mae Jones.
He went to school in Borger until they moved to Amarillo in 1970. He attended Horace Mann and Palo Duro High School.
He married Ruth Haynes and had 2 children born. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Avis Eiglebiger, his father Ikie Lee Jones and several aunties and nieces. Anthony served in the United States Army . Anthony was a caring brother and he loved his mother. He would always try to help others and there wasn't anything that he would not tackle. He loved to play the guitar
The family members that have been left to carry on are his mother, Mattie Woods of Amarillo, brothers Lemural Jones (April) of Denver Colorado, Dale Jones (Angie) of Orlando Florida, and Ikie Lee Jones Jr of Corpus Christi; sister Jackie Young (Kenneth) of Amarillo. He has two children Shatina Haynes of Houston Texas and Dedtric Jones of Palacios Texas. He has one aunt and has several nieces and nephews.
