Artelia Butler

Mrs. Artelia Butler, age 98, of Amarillo, Texas passed peacefully at home on December 23, 2016.

Celebration of Life Services were held Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Rose Chapel of Warford-Walker Mortuary, with the Reverend E. J. Cofer officiating.  Interment followed at the Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Artelia was born to Dock and Hattie Fowler on January 27, 1918 in Upper Elgin, Texas.  She professed a hope in Christ at an early age.  She was joined in holy matrimony to Henry Butler who preceded her in death.  To this union a son was born, Theodore Washington who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Butler was a long time employee of the late Tol and Mary Ware of Amarillo National Bank.

Mrs. Butler is survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
