Charles Jefferson, Jr.

Mr. Charles Jefferson, Jr., of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Mr. Charles Jefferson, Jr. was born on March 14, 1929, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Charles Jefferson, Sr., and Olean Jackson Jefferson.  He graduated from Fort Worth High School and served in the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict.  After serving his country he was employed by Dr. Jeffery Combs.

Mr. Jefferson was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Morris Henderson, Sr., and two daughters, Barbara Jefferson and Olean Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife for 63 years, Mrs. Dorothy B. Jefferson, his children, Willie Polk, Renee (William) Jefferson Hurd, Rosalind Jefferson, Dorothy Jean Jefferson, Frankie (Brenda) Jefferson, Craig (Bell) Jefferson, Charles Jefferson, III, and Ronnie Mallory, 28 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, friends and special friends, Jackie Jefferson and Willie Bailey.
