Douglas Louis Thomas, Jr.

Douglas Louis Thomas, Jr., 72, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

He was born in Carthage, Panola County, Texas, to Douglas Louis, Sr., and Annie Mae Wall Thomas.

Mr. Thomas served his country in the United States Army from May 8, 1968, to May 7, 1970.

He also worked for the Thomas E. Creek Veterans Administration Medical Center for many years in Environmental Service.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Patricia Ann Thomas, ten children, Gwendolyn Hearn, Crystal Thomas, Jeannie Brown, Douglas Louis Thomas, III, Steven T. Thomas, Patrick D. Thomas, Christopher T. Thomas, Derrick J. (Jessica) Thomas, Annie M. (Darryl) Thomas, and Phillip M. Thomas, 32 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a special close friend, Patrice Powell, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
