Earnest Ashley

Earnest Ashley 87, of Amarillo Texas passed on May 14, 2015.

Services were held at Emmanuel Church of Amarillo 1421 N.E. 15th Avenue Pastor Joe Taylor will be officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Warford-Walker Mortuary.

Earnest Ashley was born May 16, 1927 in Dubach Louisiana to William and Savannah Ashley. He was the brother of four sisters: Callie, Gladys, Quator and Earlean who was his twin. All sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Earnest Ashley enlisted in the Army in 1946. He moved to Amarillo, Texas. He became a member of Emmanuel Church of Amarillo. Brother Earnest was a loyal member and deacon who loved the Lord and prayed daily.

In 1972 his very dear friend George Allen introduced him to Anna Stubblefield and on December 29, 1973 they were married. To this union no children were born.

On May 14, 2015 Mr. Earnest Ashley departed this life to be with his Lord.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Anna Ashley and seven children, four sons Charles (Cheryl) Ashley of Granberry Texas, Billy (Ardenia) Ashley of Tyler Texas, Earnest Wayne Ashley and Steven (Candice) Ashley of Dallas Texas, three daughters, Elaine Loftis of Amarillo Texas, Lori Dow of Grand Prairie Texas and Deloris (Paul) Ladd of Lancaster Texas. Thirty-one grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends and a very special friend, Mr. George Allen
