Emecia LaSalle Ford, 41 of Amarillo died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.

Services were held at St. John Baptist Church, with Pastor Eddie Heath of Hope Deliverance Church Of God in Christ, as eulogist. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary.

The Queen was born to Elmer Dale Ford of Amarillo, Texas and Klebird McChristion Heath, Phoebe attended school in Amarillo, Texas and then later joined her mother in Waco, Texas where she attended McClenan Community College and became a certified nursing assistant. Phoebe also attended Milan Cosmetology and graduated in 2006. The girl loved doing some hair. Phoebe loved working for her clients often bringing home articles to wash, take to the cleaners for them or going out shopping to provide them with their needs. She did this until her health began to fail.Still being who she was, she moved back in with her father to take care of him the best she could.

Phoebe joined God's Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of her stepfather, The Pastor Eddie L. Heath,and when Pastor Heath moved his church to Amarillo and became Hope Deliverance #2 she again followed him. She loved God and singing, often leading us in Praise and Worship, where she will be missed more than words could every say.

Phoebe was preceded in death by both her grandparents on her father's side; Mr. J.B. Ford and Mrs.  Leuna Ford; Her Grandmother on her Mother's side; Mr. Arthur E. Hopes; both great grandmothers; 2 uncles Robert Ford and Kenneth Hopes; one Aunt Oma Martin

She leaves to cherish her memory Her significant other Jerrod Fuggett; her parents, Elmer Dale Ford and Klebird Heath and Pastor Eddie Heath; her sisters Johnie “Mae Mae” Ford and Chandra Davis of Waco; and a brother, Jermaine McChristion.

Phoebe unfortunately never gave birth, which was her greatest sorrow, but she helped raise her nieces and nephews who are left to cherish her memory as well, La'Queshia McChristion, La'Teshia McChristion of Waco and Jermaya McChristion of Amarillo. She also leaves to cherish her memory a great niece Ms. T'Andrea Ja'Mar Ford, Two sisters, Mrs. Chandra Davis (Tyrone) of Waco, Texas, Ms. Johnie Ford( Mark) of Amarillo; one brother Jermaine McChristion(Ericka) of Killeen, Texas; two aunts Mrs. Lila Mitchel of Amarillo and Ms. Othoria Hopes of Antioch, California; three uncles, Mr Arthur McChristion, Mr. Roxie Lynn McChristion (Sonya) and Elder Eddie J. Mims (Myra) of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She also leaves to cherish her memory cousins that she grew up with as brothers and sisters; Mr Kevin Mitchell, Pervis Mitchell, James (Jennifer) Mitchell and Earnest Micthell all of Amarillo; Tavarich Martin, Arek Martin and Mikia Martin of Ft Worth, Texas; one sister Mrs. Lovely Mitchell and son Zion. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
