Ethel Marie Mcdaniel

Ethel Marie McDaniel, 79, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 24, 2014.

Services were held at New Light Ministries, with the Rev. Earl Oats of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, officiating. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary.

On Friday, October 24, 2014, Mrs Ethel McDaniel was granted eternal life with our Heavenly Father. Mrs. Ethel Marie McDaniel was born Feb. 13, 1935 to Rufus Finney and Bernice Williams Finney in Dallas, Texas Mrs. Ethel Marie McDaniel confessed to Christ at an early age.

Mrs. Ethel Marie McDaniel married Paul “Buster” McDaniel and later had a child, Cynthia Ann McDaniel Booker. Later on Mrs. Ethel Marie McDaniel began working for Amarillo Independent School District as a Bus Monitor Supervisor.

Mrs. Ethel Marie McDaniel united with Jenkins Chapel Baptist, February 26,1961. She served faithfully as a member of the Usher Board #2 singing in the Senior Choir for many years, worked with the Women's Missionary Society and was a member of Willing Workers. Mrs. McDaniel also worked diligently as a member of the Food Service Committee for a number of years, before being appointed Chair of the Culinary Committee and overseer of food for bereaved families for over 10 years. She was a faithful member and loved God and her family.

Those who preceded Mrs. Ethel Marie McDaniel in death were her father Rufus, and her mother Bernice; Her husband, Paul "Buster" McDaniel, her only child Mrs. Cynthia Ann Booker, son-in-law Reverend Henry Lee Booker Jr. and her siblings ; Bessie Fields, Rufus Finney, Jr. K.W. Finney, Alphonso Finney, Dorothy Smith and Elmo "Bubbie" Finney.

Those left to cherish her memory in Amarillo, Texas are her granddaughter, Elunna Howard, grandsons; Samuel Howard and Henry Lee "Whitney" Booker, II. In Dallas her granddaughters; Felicia Booker, Rhonda Booker, Schantell Booker and Anna "Dan" McDavid; grandsons; Clifford Booker and Deric "Tracy" Booker, Sr.; greart-grandchildren; Dondrett Jones, Larry Douglas, Arterious Miller, Malasia Booker and Makeema Booker; and two great-greatchrandchildren; Donrick Westmoreland and Na'liayah Sutton; two sisters Thelma Whittaker and Carolyn Wilkinks;best friend and niece Jo Ann Carter include five granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives, friends, neighbors and her church family
