Frances Maurice (Mann) Pillow

Frances Maurice Pillow, 81, of Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, transitioned to eternity early in the evening on Monday, April 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Floydada, Floyd County, Texas to Elliott and Florene Smith Mann. She attended Saint Mary’s Cathedral Elementary and Junior High School then transitioning to Carver High School where she received her high school diploma.

Frances retired from Levi Strauss and Company with thirty-five years of service. She was also employed with the Amarillo Independent School District for eight years as a cafeteria aide, serving in several of the school district’s cafeterias.

She was a member of Saint Martin Catholic Church and faithfully attended this church until her health began to fail. Even though Frances had many interests, she mostly enjoyed working in her yard, caring for her flowers and plants, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Toya Clardy, sister, Erma Strhan, and grandmother, Bearie Coleman.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Laverne (John) Roberson and Teresa Caicedo-Alegra, son, Michael (Tammi) Pillow, brother, Lovell Smith, fifteen grandchildren, Whitney Harris, Rapheal Johnson, Orlando Johnson, Darius Polley, Kelee Pillow, Kaleb Pillow, Michael Pillow, Christian Pillow, Darsh Pillow, Countessa Caicedo, Thais Alegria, Shareka Pillow, Keionna Clardy, Mitchlyn Clardy, and Mitchell Clardy, Jr., sixteen great-grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
