Fred Houston Nelson 71, of Amarillo Texas passed on May 16, 2015.
Services were held at Warford-Walker Mortuary Rose Chapel 509 N Hughes Street with Rev Vernon Conner, Associate of Greater Mt. Olive Church, Officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Warford-Walker Mortuary.
Fred Nelson was born in Clarksville "Red River County" Texas on Feb 8, 1944 to the late Nelse A. and Edwina Nelson. He was educated in Pleasant Hill Elementary school and Cheatham High School in Clarksville Texas. He also attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He moved to Amarillo in 1964 and was employed by Alumin Material Company, E.Z. Tight Insulation Company.
He loved watching those Western movies. His special was Wagon Train and Bonanza. He loved those Cartrights.
He leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life, Annie Mae of Amarillo Texas, four stepchildren Robert, Anita, Andrew, Dimmitri Jones and Victor; four sisters, Mattie M. Nelson Dawson, Emma J Nelson Jones, Theola Nelson Mathis of Amarillo Texas, and Esta L. Ricks of Clarksville Texas. A football field of nieces, nephews, first, second, third and fourth cousin and friends.
