Mr. Herbert Ronnie “Peaches” Hills, 63, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019.
Peaches was born on December 24, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas to the Ronnie and Magnolia Hills.
He attended the Amarillo State Center, now known as the Texas Panhandle Centers, over twenty years, where he participated in various activities.
Following his mother’s death in 2004, his brother-in-law and sister, Reverend and Mrs. Morris E. Mitchell became his guardians until his death.
Peaches often times enjoyed joining his niece, Marcia for pool games, and he enjoyed feeding the ducks at the park.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, W. C. Gaffney, and an aunt, Arrolar Dilworth.
Peaches leaves to cherish his memories, his father, a sister, and caregiver, Nadine (Reverend Morris E.) Mitchell, two brothers, George Hyman, Jr., and John David Hyman of Amarillo, Texas, three nieces, Tracye Mitchell and Marcia Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, and Alisha Hyman of Washington State, two nephews, Morris “Mitch” (Teresa) Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, and Bobby “Ben” Hill of Amarillo, Texas, eleven great-nieces and nephews, two great-great nephews and one great-great niece, and a host of other relatives and friends.
