Joyce Lenette “Nette” Redic, 64, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. She was lovingly known by many as “Mama” and “Aunt Joyce.”
Born in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, Joyce was the daughter of Arrvil Bo and Melba Joyce Baldwin Redic. She graduated with an equivalency degree and continued her education through the Job Corps. She later earned recognition as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a role that reflected her lifelong passion for caring for others.
Joyce dedicated her professional life to serving her community through various organizations, including the American Council of the Blind Thrift Store, Home Health of Amarillo, Amarillo Center for Skilled Care, Georgia Manor Nursing Home, and the Amarillo Independent School District (AISD) as a bus assistant. Her work was marked by compassion, patience, and a genuine love for helping those in need.
Outside of her career, Joyce found joy in crocheting, quilting, baking, community service, and donating to charities. Her hands were rarely still, and her heart was always open. She touched countless lives through her generosity, creativity, and unwavering kindness.
Above all, Joyce lived a life defined by Love, Joy, and Jesus, three words that beautifully capture her spirit, her faith, and the way she cared for everyone she met.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jazmin Redic; her sister, Sonia Redic, two brothers, Arrvil Redic, Jr. and Tony Redic, her grandparents, Wymond Sr. and Lottie Mae Baldwin, and Manuel Redic and Texana Thomas Redic, as well as her beloved pets, Chewy and Zeus, and a host of other relatives and pets.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Gladys Polk Redic of Dallas, Texas, Ruthie Walker of Amarillo, Texas, and Terry Henry, and one brother, Travis Earl Redic, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and cherished pets who will forever remember her warmth, humor, and love.
Joyce’s life was a testament to service, family, and faith. Her legacy lives on in the many hearts she touched and the countless lives she uplifted.
