Kendrick Rashad Mayes

Kendrick Rashad Mayes, 34 of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017.

Kendrick Rashad Mayes was born in Amarillo, Texas to Barbara Mayes and Tony Finney.  He attended Palo Duro High School.  Kendrick was a member of New Light Ministries.  He would brighten up every room he entered.  He loved spending time with family and friends and taking pictures.  Nothing was more important to Kendrick then his family.  His greatest joy was being a father to his son Zaidyn.  Kendrick was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and his favorite rapper was Mozzy.  He was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor.  He made sure to keep everyone laughing.  He loved everyone he knew and everyone who knew him, loved him.  Kendrick never bothered anyone and really hated arguments.  Kendrick was hated by few but loved by so many.

Kendrick is preceded in death by his grandmothers Ruby Lee Finney and Dorothy Jean White Mayes and a brother, Neal.

Kendrick leaves to cherish his memories, a son Zaidyn, his mother, Barbara Mayes, his father, Tony Finney, grandfather, Bobby Mayes, great grandmother, Erma Mayes, eleven sisters, Christi (Traniel), NaTasha (Daniel), Danielle, Shatara, Adriane, Alessandra, Lakesha, Latoya (Calvin) all of Amarillo, Liyah, Breanna of Pampa, Texas, Bada of Austin, Texas and Tameka of New Jersey.  Five brothers, Dashon (Becky), Ja'Toris, Alphonso all of Amarillo, LaRonn of Killeen, Texas and Jaylen of Fort Worth, Texas, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family suggest memorials be made to Amarillo National Bank, 410 South Taylor, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
