Krista Denise Johnson

Krista Denise Johnson, 55, of Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Krista was born in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, to Christopher Homer, Sr., and Mary Hall Johnson.

She was known by many affectionate names, and she had a gift for bringing laughter wherever she went. For 55 wonderful years, Krista was her mother’s birthday gift—a blessing celebrated year after year. Her mother’s favorite scripture, Psalm 23, was one that brought them both great comfort.

A devoted fan of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Krista especially admired her favorite wrestler, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and rarely missed a match.

She was preceded in death by her father and her nephew Zachary Garza.

Krista leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved mother, sister, Vanessa Baker, two brothers, Christopher Johnson, Jr., and Anthony Johnson, nieces, Kendra Baker and Olivia Johnson, nephews, Christopher Johnson, III, Joseph Garza, Kedrick Baker, and Donovan Johnson, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
