Lynn Susan Wright

Lynn Susan Wright, 71, of Wildwood, Florida, and formerly of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the University of Florida Health Spanish Plains Hospital in The Villages, Florida.

Lynn was born to George and Brenda Potter Smith of Leicester, England. She came to the United States, where she met and married Jerry Lewis Wright, Sr.

From humble beginnings to serving as an Executive Administrator for the Department of Defense, Lynn was a quintessential professional who carried herself with grace and dignity throughout her more than 32 years of service.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Llano Cemetery East in Amarillo, Texas, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Lakeside Landings Ballroom in Oxford, Florida, officiated by her Pastor, Ruth Diehl of New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 3615 Main Street, Sanford, Florida 32771.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Jerry Lewis Wright, Sr., and her favorite auntie, Elaine White.

She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Lynn Walker-Wright, son, Jerry Lewis Wright, Jr. (Krista), three grandsons, Deonte Corell, Quincy Lewis (Jazmine), and Jerry Lewis Wright, III (Isabelis), two granddaughters, Erianna Marquesha and Amaya Lynn, five great-grandchildren, two special friends, Cynthia Moore and Garfield Carter, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Grace Funeral and Cremation Services, 2758 Coastal Highway, Crawfordville, Florida 32327, and Warford-Overstreet Mortuary, 509 North Hughes Street, Amarillo, Texas 79107-5031.
