Mary Jane Jiles, 82, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017.

She was born in Hope, Arkansas to the late Anthony Dixon, Sr. and Florence Stuart.

Ms. Dixon married Elmo Jiles, Sr. and they moved to Quanah, Texas.  Thirteen children were born to this union.  In 1977, she moved to Amarillo, Texas.  She was employed with Stanley 3 and Wendy Marsh for more than 20 years until she retired in 2005.

She loved her family deeply and unconditionally.  If one ever had the opportunity to meet her, it was an unforgettable experience.  She was very passionate about her faith and love for God.

Ms. Jiles gave her life to the Lord in 1968 and never wavered from her faith in God.  She was a faithful member of Jerusalem Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Superintendent A. L. Gipson.  She served in the Amarillo and Canyon local and district ministries for more than 40 years.  She served as the adult Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Field Representative, Assistant District Choir president, YPWW Teacher, Home and Foreign Mission Teacher, and she served on the decorating committee and the culinary committee.  Ms. Jiles also served as the church musician.  She ministered to the sick and shut in and she did whatever else her hands could find to do.  She was always busy about her Father's business.  She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was truly a jewel and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five children, two brothers and one sister.

Ms. Jiles leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Elmo (Travina) Jiles, Jr., of Quanah, Texas, seven daughters, Etta (Robert) Brown of Lawton, Oklahoma,  Alma (Derek) Lowery, Di-Ann (Edward) Johnson, Rose Jiles, Florence (Ronnie) Williams of Quanah, Texas, Belinda Jiles, LaTunya (Howard) Ford all of Amarillo, Texas, four sisters, Rosie Harris of Prescott Arkansas, Gladys Hamilton and Linda Sue Dixon of Texarkana, Arkansas, Mattie Dixon of Shreveport Louisiana, one brother, Anthony Dixon, Jr. of Texarkana, Arkansas, 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.
