Maudie E. (Gardner) Jones

Mrs. Maudie Jones, 90, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

She was the eldest of 13 children born to Willie and Effie Patterson Gardner in Clarendon, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Bobbie, Lavtrice, Carrie and Edna, four brothers, Billy, Prince, Willie and Jessie, her husband, Billy Welton Jones, a son, Curtis Carr and a daughter, Initia Savage.

Mrs. Jones leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Zane D. Williams of California, her granddaughters, Portia and Teddy of Amarillo, Texas and Bridgette of Lewisville, Texas, a grandson, Arlanders Savage of Fontana, California, a sister Bessie (HB) Smith, of Amarillo, Texas and two brothers, Manzell Gardner, of Amarillo, Texas and Larnce (Jewel) Gardner of Terrell, Texas.

A host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Jones also shared a special relationship with Lou Spencer a longtime employer and friend.
