It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Jaredi Mpaweingabire and Olga Mapendo Ruhembuza, along with their children Esperance, Michael, Sarah, and Christopher. They tragically lost their lives on December 25, 2024, in a devastating car accident while in the process of relocating to another state.
Jaredi Mpaweingabire was born on January 1, 1993, in Kigoma, Tanzania, to Songambele Leopold and Espes Mbayahaga. Seeking better opportunities, he and his family moved to America, where they embraced a new life full of hope and determination. In February 2024, Jaredi's life was marked by the loss of his father, which led him to become the head of his family, a role he took with immense strength, love, and commitment.
Olga Mapendo Ruhembuza, born on September 1, 1996, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was the beloved daughter of Abekya B. Aoci and Mapendo Tulinabitu. Olga’s kindness, compassion, and selflessness were felt by everyone who knew her. She and Jaredi met in Nyarugusu, Tanzania, and later married in America. Together, they were blessed with five children: Amida, Esperance, Michael, Sarah, and Christopher.
Sadly, their daughter Amida passed away on September 8, 2016. At the time of the tragic accident, Esperance and Michael were in elementary school. The children were deeply loved by their family, who cherished every moment with them. They were known for their joyful spirit, often playing with soccer balls, dolls, and cars, and bringing happiness to all around them.
Jaredi and Olga held a deep respect for their parents and family. Jaredi’s mother was immensely proud of him, and Olga’s devotion to helping others earned her great admiration.
The loss of Jaredi, Olga, and their children is an unimaginable sorrow. They were a loving family whose generosity, warmth, and devotion to one another touched the hearts of everyone who knew them. They had just visited family and friends to say their goodbyes before embarking on their move, and their passing leaves a profound void.
Their legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew them.
May they rest in peace.
Please share your condolences and memories with the Jaredi Family.
