Ms. Ollie June Amos, 69, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017.
Ms. “Grandma June” Amos was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. She moved to Amarillo at a very young age. June loved her Catholic religious life and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her passion was being a Radiology and Ultrasound Technician for 10 years which allowed her to travel throughout the world. One of her most famous sayings was, "Praise God", which she lived by religiously.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Scott, two sisters, a brother, Dr. Richard W. Jones, sister-in-law, Hessie Jones and her grandmother Mamie Scott.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, James Hamilton Amos, a son, Michael Scott of Amarillo, Texas, a sister, Constance Jones Collier of San Luis Obispo, California, two granddaughters, Marquita "Quite" Riley of Amarillo, Texas and Ashley "Ash" Scott of Fort Worth, Texas, two grandsons, Christopher Scott and Adrian Scott of Fort Worth, Texas, eight great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
