Ricky Torres Hernandez

Ricky T. Hernandez, 63, of Jacksboro, Jack County, Texas, and formerly of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

He was born in Abernathy, Hale County, Texas, to Jesse and Sophia Torres Hernandez.

Ricky grew up in Memphis, Texas, where he played basketball, football, and ran track. He worked hard, loved to golf, watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with family. Ricky was the highlight of any gathering, and he always had a joke even during the tough times. In the time of need, he would always take care of his family if it meant giving them his last dollar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ray Hernandez and Jesse Hernandez.

Ricky T. is survived by his daughter, Holly Hernandez, two sons, Jordan Teer (Vanessa), of Amarillo, Texas, Troy Hernandez (Leeandra) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, grandchildren, Ayce Soda, Amani Teer, Sophia Teer, Jordan Teer, Jr., Airion Teer, Isaiah Teer, Amaria Teer, Penelope Hernandez, Catalina Hernandez, and Liliana Hernandez, two brothers, Joe Hernandez and Johnny Hernandez, two sisters, Rachel Hernandez and M’air Hernandez, and a host of extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
