Ruby L Riles, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.

Services were held at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, with Elijah Demerson, pastor, and superintendent Elisha Demerson as eulogist and Harry J. Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary.

Ruby Ladell Riles 80, was born October 15, 1933 in Milo, Oklahoma to Lester Wright and Vileva Stevenson. She attended Milo public schools. She later moved to Hollis, Oklahoma where she met and married Jeff Lee Riles, Sr.in August of 1954. She moved to Amarillo in 1958.

Mother Riles was employed at St. Anthony's Hospital (Red Top), and later home health care until she retired due to health issues at the age of 70. She was very involved in the church both locally and on the district level serving as a member of the Mother's Board and local district head usher for over 32 years.

Mother Riles was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. She remained actively involved in prison ministry until passing. Whether it was financially or providing shelter to ex-prisoners following their release from prison. Although her home was small, there was always room for one more and also enough food. Saying, "Did you get enough baby?"

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert in 2009, and one daughter, Margaret in 2010. Her parents and two sisters, Cozetta Sterling and Betty Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 60 years Jeff Riles Sr., 13 children, Ella and husband Harry, Jeff Jr. and wife Zetta, James and wife Phyllis, Floyd and wife Verna, Godfrey, Shirley, Gregory, Hattie and husband Lee, Kimberly, Richard and wife Angela Riles, Angela Barnes and husband Kerry, Diana and husband Shawn and Trista; 54 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.; 2 sisters Shirley Jean Hudspeth, and Rozella Shannon and one aunt, Johnnie Mae Arnett; many cuosins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and spiritual children and a loving church family
