William Lamar Burks

Will Burks Jr., 59, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016.
Celebration of life services were held at Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary.
Will Lamar Burks Jr. “Hollywood” was born Aug. 7, 1957, in Tucson, Ariz., to Will and Mildred Pearl Burks. He enjoyed all sports, but was especially passionate about the Louisville Cardinals basketball team and Seattle Seahawks football team.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two brothers; Maurice Burks and wife Tina and William Donnell Burks and wife Michelle; an adopted sister, Angela Asbill and husband Roman; two aunts, Claree Burks and Clendell Mallory; an uncle, Milton G. Walton; two nephews, William D. Burks II and Maurice Burks and wife Crystal; six nieces, Katana, Tiffany, Tori, Brittney, Elania and Hannah; and a host of other relatives and friends.
