William "Mr. Williams" Finch

William Finch, 94, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on March 17, 2018.

William Finch, known to everyone as “Mr. Williams” was born on May 12, 1923, in Paris, Texas to Sam and Hester Finch.  He served in the United States Army during World War II and was Honorably Discharged in 1946.

He met and married Margaret Scales and they moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1953.  William retired from Chemical Express with 35 years of service.  He then opened Second Street Bar-B-Que before retiring permanently.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Finch, three brothers, Sam Finch, Thomas Finch and Robert Finch, three sisters, Katherine Carreathers, Sadie Jacobs and Odessa White and a grandson, Kenneth McChristian.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Sam Finch of Amarillo, Texas, two daughters, Sonja McChristian of Amarillo, Texas and Tina Finch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Richard Finch of Dallas, Texas, Margaret Finch, Tempest Finch and Adrianna Finch all of Amarillo, Texas and three great-grandchildren.
