Alton Armstrong, 64, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021.
He was born in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, to Adam, Sr., and Eldeared Coward Armstrong.
Alton was one of eight children and he attended school in Lansing, Michigan, and Amarillo, Texas.
Alton was united in marriage to Wanda Washington in Amarillo, Texas. To this union, two children were born. He was a professional lawn serviceman for the neighborhood and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Michael Armstrong and David Armstrong, a sister, Kana Granville, and a daughter, Tanika Arriaga.
Mr. Armstrong leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Andre (Tonya) Armstrong, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, a daughter, Rojulia Armstrong, of Amarillo, Texas, and Shonta Coley who he raised as his own of McComb, Mississippi, two brothers, Adam (Dina) Armstrong, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada and Davis Armstrong, Sr., of Eugene, Oregon, two sisters, Elgra Faye Mendenhall of Lansing, Michigan and Christy Elzie of San Tan Valley, Arizona, four grandchildren, Ty, Michael, Jr., Kendrick, and Kadden, two great-grandchildren, Amariyah and Avery, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
