Robert “The Rob” Lee Barrow, Jr., 61, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Mr. Barrow was born in Tulia, Swisher County, Texas to Ruby Dean Barrow and Robert Lee Fennell. As we reflect on the life of “The Rob,” we will remember the purpose of a strong, hard-working man who valued family, faith, and his integrity. “The Rob” served his country in the United States Air Force as a Senior Airman. He then went on to cultivate his passion for culinary arts as a master chef.
“The Rob” devoted 14 years to Plains Dairy, LLC, where he received an insurmountable amount of recognition for his hard work and diligence.
“The Rob” was tough, unwavering in his decisions, and he allowed life to guide him. He gave his all in everything he pursued. He would give the clothing off his back. “The Rob,” even saved his neighbors from a house fire, and when he was called a hero, he stated. “It was just the right thing to do.” If you knew “The Rob”, you knew that every day was a celebration of life. Through weekly games of cards and dominoes, he bragged about beating most of you.J He hosted many celebrations and captured timeless memories through his camera lens. His love for the Cowboys, the Obamas, and his family was unmatched.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stoney Barrow.
“The Rob” leaves to cherish his memories, his sons Robert Lee Fennell III, Terry Fennell, and Scotty Johnson, his daughters Shylasinay Fennell, LaVonne Fennell, Theresa Fennell, Jacqueline Fennell, and Nicole Fennell, his brothers, Andrew Fennell, Kenneth Barrow, and Robert Casel, his sisters, Sandra Kay Henderson and Theresa Barrow, an uncle, Virgil Burns, his cousin Rosetta Jeffries, an aunt, Diana Marshall, and a host of other relatives and friends.
