Sue L. (Clark) Davis

Sue L. Davis, 72, of Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Ms. Davis was born in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, to Mack Phillip and Susie Lee Callaway Clark.

She loved school at an early age and attended elementary school and Carver High School in Amarillo, Texas, where she completed the 9th grade. She later went on to complete the General Education Development Test (GED) and she took some college classes. Ms. Davis graduated from truck driving school and received her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and then worked in the trucking industry. Even though she worked several jobs, she always had a cleaning business where she was successful as an entrepreneur to provide for her family financially.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Davis, parents, grandparents, O. E. Callaway, Abraham Clark, Fred Harris, and Lena Harris, two sons, Jonny Griffin, Eff Griffin, III, four brothers, Jonny Turner, Ezekiel Willson, Ricky Ware and Ken Ware, two sisters, Rosa Jean Scipio, and Desi Arnaz Ware.

She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Xavier Clark, Sue Greene, Tina Greene-Williams (Lionel), Jamuel Griffin, Ursula Davis, and Will Sheppard (Alethea), twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, a sister, Lenola Peel, numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
